A connection that links me to the outside world. Always there with me no matter what; Just like an angel following me. It looks unique and fragile, yet it can do so many things. You can use it as a mirror and even capture the moment of time. You can't be abusive and throw it on the floor or any rough surfaces as it may no longer reply to your needs and wants. If you want it back in your life again, you may need to pay the price because nothing is free. You can't use it forever as it needs to regain it's strength to work efficiently. Sometimes if you leave it for too long to regain it's energy, it'll also no longer work. It'll become lazy and stop working very fast and become rusty. Having a friend like this is kind of troublesome. You will never know when it might abandon you again. The good part is that when the time is right, you will have the will replace it no matter what. There are no regrets after one replacement. You will get a better one every time.

Watching the clock tick.
My timer was set exactly to 300 seconds. I looked at the clock and thought "300 seconds left..time is short". As I looked down from my fourth floor apartment, fear came rushing into my veins. I was terrorized by the height I was in. 290 seconds left and I gather all the necessary items needed for my departure: A paper, a pen, a knife and I was left with 250 seconds. I watched as the clock ticked slowly towards the future. Every second is a second after the past. I inhaled and exhaled slowly. My eyes grew tired, and I began to yawn. My heartbeat became faster and faster as I counted the seconds passed. 100 seconds left and I'm still here, waiting for the right moment. What do they mean by "Time is valuable" or " Don't waste your time". I have never actually got the meaning of it.
I picked up a book as I looked at the clock: 90 seconds left. "Get a hold of yourself" was the first sentence I read. I began to question myself and started feeling uncertain about what I am about to do. 1 minute left and I began to keep the letter that I wrote to my mom inside a nice colored envelope saying " To my lovely mom". Tears began to role down my cheeks as I checked the time: 40 seconds left. I waited and waited until the time is right, until my gut kicks in saying " Yes! now is the time! go for it". But nothing seems to be happening. 30 seconds left as I lie back on my bed with the sound of my heart pounding loudly in my head. 15 seconds left and there was when my guy kicked in. I hurried and walked towards the window and took the first step on the base of the window.
My mom came barging into the room as she tried to grasp for air. She pleaded me to come back down but I refused. 10 seconds left and I am feeling in doubt of my actions. "8, 7, 6..." and as I was getting ready to jump, my mom burst into tears. "5..4..."and I leaped out of the window and fall to my death while counting "3...2....". In spite of all that, I never knew there was a tree outside the window. As I counted to "1", my body fell hard against the tree and broke my fall. Now I understand the term "Time is precious" because every second counts.

Writing challenge (Shark)
Planning
There was a shark swimming around me- i was in danger but i got away.
1) What am i doing?- friend drowning, save her
2) What happen? The engine broke down, we're stuck
3) What did my senses tell me? (throw a fridge with meat down)
4) Someone with a jet boat came and help us.
5) I was in danger, but i got away.
The sky was dark and the wind was blowing furiously at the speed boat. My friend, Stephanie and I was going to go shark hunting. On the way there, Stephanie toppled over and fell of the boat into the vast ocean. Surprisingly she couldn't swim, and was trying her hardest to stay alive. I noticed she had a deep cut on her right hand. I knew that she had to get out of the water in time before the sharks came, so I jumped down and save her. Stephanie managed to get out of the water with the help of the boat driver. At a distant, I saw something swimming fast towards us and realized it was the sharks. I quickly tried to climb up to the boat, but I failed.
Sharks came swimming as fast as lightning towards me. It's teeth were as sharp as japanese knives and they have the size of a mini to a medium boat. They look like gangsters, but in an animal form. The next thing I knew, there was a shark swimming around me. I tried not to move, but it didn't work. My heart was beating continuously and I was running out of breath. I had nothing to do but wait. Wait for a miracle to happen. Any minute now the shark will come and attack me.

Reflection poetry
- thought about different types of poetic devices we can put into the poem.
- feel a certain way on how to write the poem
- think about how the readers would want to react - reader's reaction
- understand how the author/poet is trying to portray their poem
- It's easier to learn how to use poetic devices when you're applying it in a poem form

thoughts on the whole play
What did i think about the play:
- A very heartbroken play because..
: Your most trusted person betrayed you/ Have been plotting evil schemes behind your back( Othello and Iago)
: Jealousy had led you to killed the person you love( Othello and Desdemona)
: You want to gain affection from your love one so much that you might end up doing something horrible ( Iago and Emilia)
Iago is the mastermind of all this plotting and scheming. The way he takes advantages in any way he can, and the way he switch/twist his plan so fast when things are going wrong. At one point, I think Iago has a motive/motives in doing these evil things, but at another, i don't think he has any motives at all. Maybe being evil was in his blood. I kinda admire Iago in a way that he's clever and cunning;
- The ending is very weird and sad.
:I find it disappointing when Iago stops talking all of a sudden towards the ending of the play. It's good that Iago gets to live because for me, dying is an easy way out of life. And I think Shakespeare is really smart to leave out Iago's motive. It makes people think about Iago's motive in their perspective.
: Why did Othello have to die? I mean, i understand that Desdemona is dead already but Othello doesn't have to die, Eventhough he indirectly murdered the woman he ever loved. He can move on without her. I dont think that's how a general behaves, but I think his love for Desdemona had led him to his weak and crucial side. This shows how much he loves Desdemona.
: I don't mind Emilia dying because her husband will be torture at a near death experience( but will not die) and I don't think she would want to live, knowing her husband is going through all that and also knowing her husband don't really love her. Emilia and Desdemona had gone through a lot and i think them dying together is a good thing. And also, I don't think Emilia would want to live, knowing she has caused quite a lot of trouble by stealing her mistress's handkerchief. It'll be better if both of them are dead. It saves them from mental and physical pain.
: I kinda know that Emilia would save the day in the end because she was the one who gave the handkerchief to Iago, And she is Iago's wife. If anyone would have found out Iago's plan, it would be Emilia. - I find some of the parts funny
: How Othello went from calling Iago "honest" to " devil that cannot be kill"
: How Lodovico called Iago " Damned slave" or "this wretch"
: I did find Roderigo funny and a bit sad. The way he dies is funny and the way he went all this way to get Desdemona to love him is sad. - And for the racism and feminism
: I do not think it exist in that time. They might have use this to describe someone, but may not know it to be racist. And for the feminism part, for them it may just be a stereotype for girls to be under control of men. I find this a bit stupid because woman should stand up for themselves(Just like Emilia did). Maybe they were some woman like Emilia, thats why Shakespeare put it in the play. Or maybe he just want something to be extra-ordinary.
